A Senate committee inquiry is being held in response to concerns about the power exerted by "big tech" multinational companies over Australian markets and democracy.
Concerns over the harm caused by misinformation on big tech platforms have been raised in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, federal elections and climate change, among other issues.
