As COVID-19 takes its toll on the Australian economy, confusion reigns for the smallest of small businesses — sole traders, freelancers and the self-employed.

The federal government came out swinging yesterday and announced part two of its COVID-19 stimulus plan, bringing the total package to $189 billion.

The federal government and the Reserve Bank of Australia have pumped $105 billion into banks and lenders, to try to get credit to struggling SMEs.
