Many businesses are now using DropBox to sync documents across various computers and devices, especially if they have multiple employees on the move.
But did you know you can actually choose which folders to sync instead of automatically syncing all fodders? If you’re using the latest beta version, you can choose to select which folders you want.
First, right-click the DropBox icon the system tray and then move to “preferences”. Click the advanced tab, then select “selective sync”.
Then, you can expand and check or uncheck folders that you don’t want to sync with the DropBox. Then, save your changes and then exit the program – you’ll only have those folders synced.
Remember, these folders are still synced with DropBox online, so you can access them from anywhere, but it helps you get everything the way you want it on individual computers.
