Delete individual Windows updates

Tech TricksWindows usually downloads and installs updates automatically – it’s a good way to keep your machine up-to-date.

But every so often you may download an update that you don’t need or want. There’s actually way to get rid of individual updates.

To do so, open the Control Panel, then click on Windows Updates. Then, on the left-hand side of the screen, click on “Update History”.

There you’ll see a full list of updates and when they were installed. You can click on any one of them to uninstall them.

However, when doing this be sure you’re deleting the right ones, as many updates contain critical security patches that help protect your PC from harm, such as viruses and malware.
