TweetDeck is a great way to monitor your tweets, with the columns feature one of the best methods for organisation.
But you may find the column sizes a bit off for your liking. If you do, you can change their width. Just head to the Settings option, then on the first tab, you should see an option for changing column sizes to narrow, normal or wide. Just choose one, and away you go.
