Move Firefox bookmarks into Safari

Tech trend on Firefox and Safari bookmarksOften, you might find yourself in a situation where you’ll want to move to a new type of web browser, but can’t be bothered moving all of your bookmarks. Thankfully there’s an easy process for doing so, and moving from Firefox to Safari is fairly easy as a result.

First, you need to go into Firefox and export your bookmarks. Go to the Bookmarks bar, click on Organise Bookmarks, and then click on “Import and Backup” and then “Export HTML”.

You’ll then be prompted to save the HTLM file somewhere on your computer. Leave it there for now.

Then, open up Safari. You’ll need to click on the Settings button, and then “Show Menu Bar”. Then you need to click on File, and then Import Bookmarks.

You’ll be taken to a window, through which you will search for your HTML file. Once you export it, you’ll be given the option of adding previews of your favourite webpages.

Once they’ve been imported, they will show up in a sidebar, but you can move them over the Bookmarks Bar.
