One of the great new features in Apple’s iOS 5 software is the ability to set reminders, which pop up when you reach a certain date, or enter a certain location.
To set up a new reminder, hit the “Reminders” app in iOS 5, which is a completely separate app. Once there, hit the “plus” symbol.
Add whatever your reminder is, then press “done”. After that, press the reminder, and then hit “remind me”. There, you’ll be able to set either a day for the reminder, or a location.
If you hit the location button, you’ll be prompted to choose either your current location, or a different address, and whether you want the reminder when you leave or enter that location.
After that, you’re done. To make your life easier, you should consider whether to make certain locations filed under your contacts in order to recall some common locations easily.
