Having had our fair share of ups and downs over the past few months, it’s been a huge source of excitement that we’ve reached a few significant milestones in the past few weeks.
Our website is in the final stages of development, and we’ve recently acquired a few major suppliers who will ensure we have a great product offering for launch.
These results have largely come about due to two things – persistence and passion.
When we have encountered resistance along the way, we have almost never accepted a no if that’s someone’s initial reaction. We have always come back with further information or other options to try and address any concerns, and we’re always looking to create a way forward.
Sometimes we’ve gone back many times when we’ve been turned down, probably to the point of annoyance (and beyond), and while this persistence doesn’t pay off every time, we’ve always learnt something that has helped us in another way.
This relentless persistence also has the benefit of displaying to others just how passionate we are about their involvement in our business. Sure, a small percentage of people might view it as desperation, but the majority will see it as a positive that you value their input enough to keep pushing back.
They key for us has been to stick to the things that matter – why we do what we do, and what is unique and special about the company.
Showing people how much your business means to you and how determined you are can only lead to good things in the long run. It’s certainly something that we’ve received a lot of positive feedback for, and now it is paying off in real results.
So for now we’ll take a brief moment to celebrate our little wins, and then get back to work and keep pushing on – there’s still plenty to do, and more persistence and passion needed to get it done!
