A 24-year-old Queensland woman has been left with a suspected broken leg and blood clot after allegedly being attacked by her Uber driver on Friday.
As the Gold Coast Bulletin reports, Sascha Pangallo claims the driver refused to put her address in the GPS, instead asking for directions. After she took a phone call she says the driver became irate and pulled over the car.
In a Facebook post that has been shared over 3,000 times, Pangallo then says the driver attempted to drag her from the car but drove off with her still in the door when he realised there were witnesses. She says she was thrown to the ground and had her leg ran over by the car.
The matter has been reported to police and Pangallo was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
“For someone who has been ‘pro’ Uber for so long, I will never use them again,” Pangallo told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“It’s just crazy and I can’t believe it happened.
“It just takes one maniac.”
