A Japanese textile firm called Inodore has manufactured underpants that absorb 99% of unwanted smells by using ceramic particles in the material fibres.
The company’s range now includes socks that prevent feet from smelling and T-shirts that mask the odour of sweaty armpits.
“Our product, the fibre itself has a deodorising effect… [This] is due to the action of the ceramic and metal ions,” the company says on its website.
Imagine how beneficial this kind of clothing would be for sportspeople, gym junkies and those in the military. Why not take inspiration from Inodore and design your own odour-absorbing items?
