Framing children’s artwork isn’t exactly a new trend, although it seems to be increasing among hip mums as a favoured way to fill bare walls.
Why not go one better and cover the coffee table with your children’s artwork instead? There’s a new online children’s book community titled Tikatok.com, which makes it possible to capture your children’s stories in hard or soft cover books – either for yourself or as a unique gift for family and friends.
In addition to showcasing your children’s art in professionally bound books, each book comes complete with the child’s author page and photo.
Unlike traditional photo books, these are the actual writings and illustrations from your child’s imagination to be treasured as a keepsake.
Imagine the popularity of such a service in schools, daycare centres and even boarding houses. This would be the perfect gift for children to bestow upon their parents, particularly at Christmas.
A small start-up could easily develop the concept here in Australia and would enjoy ongoing interest from children and parents alike.
