Martin Lazarevic, a former HR manager in healthcare, founded NCC in 2009, motivated by his own experience of hiring candidates that required national criminal history checks.
Lazarevic found the traditional police station checks frustratingly time-intensive, and so established NCC to bypass the rigmarole of going through the police.
After an eight-month accreditation process, NCC began to run criminal history checks for businesses and individuals nationwide, with a comprehensive privacy control system in place.
Since 2009, NCC has completed more than 20,000 Australian criminal history checks.
