There’s a new online social planning service that aims to keep boredom at bay by giving its users the ideal activity at a moment’s notice.
Weotta, which has dubbed itself the “Pandora for your social life”, enables users to link their Facebook account to the service and then select a theme for their planned outing (business, dating, family, friends or solo) and a vibe (casual, classy, hip or touristy).
After fine-tuning the tone, users click the “generate plans” button and receive a customised possible itinerary featuring links to make restaurant reservations or purchase event tickets.
The service’s algorithm takes into account each user’s Facebook demographic data and their previous Weotta picks so that its recommendations become increasingly more accurate.
Obviously, any business that is complementary to a major social network, such as Facebook or Twitter, is bound to do quite well, so this is something that could be worth exploring.
