Tired workers can now snooze at their desks in comfort, with the foam Daydreamer Desk.
The “stress reliever” desk is topped with a mattress. New York designer Nick DeMarco, 27, hopes it will encourage a “laidback, casual attitude towards work and life”.
A wooden block cut into the foam measures 21.5 centimetres by 28 centimetres.
“Thoughtful day-dreaming, introspection and brain work is just as important as any other task that could be completed at one’s desk,” DeMarco says.
He has also created the Zen Desk, which has a sandpit.
With people working longer and longer hours, any attempt to make the workplace more comfortable is a plus. Can you think of any other quirky ideas?
