Many parents are hesitant to give their children mobile phones for fear of what they might be exposed to. However, there’s now a kid-friendly phone on the market.
The HW-01D, launched by NTT DoCoMo, is an Android-powered smartphone. Parents can set the browser and phone settings to restricted contacts and sites.
The phone also has GPS and a 100-decibel alarm clock to ward off bad people. It is also capable of sending text messages so parents can keep a tab on their kids all the time.
The phone is constructed out of sturdy plastic. It is also dustproof and waterproof, making it ideal for younger, reckless consumers.
Parents often face a dilemma when deciding whether to give their child a mobile phone. On the one hand, it offers an extra level of safety, but it can also expose children to bad things.
This phone gives parents peace of mind in both regards. As parents becoming increasingly concerned about their children’s safety, what other products could put their minds at ease?
