How Shippit started

E-commerce software business Shippit had its humble beginnings in 2014, collaborating with a small number of fashion and homeware boutiques.

Now the company handles retailers’ shipping and delivery, order and fulfilment, and post-purchase experiences.

Growth

Millions of packages are now sent with the help of Shippit every month, and the company has expanded beyond Australia and New Zealand to Singapore and Malaysia.

Spanning across retail and logistics, and multiple countries has been rocket fuel for the company’s growth.

In 2021-22, FY revenue topped out at $19 million. One year later, it is now $66 million.

Where to next

Shippit’s lean model for deliveries has brought success, but now it is bringing that laser focus to sustainability. Few companies are across both the retail and logistics ends of e-commerce, putting Shippit in a unique position to solve waste problems.

It is excited for a big peak retail season this year, and the founders’ ‘Big Hairy Audacious Goal’ is to reach 200 million global deliveries without waste by June 2025.

Shippit was shortlisted for the Sustainability Award and the Innovation Award at The Smart50 Awards 2023.
