How Ericom started

Technology solutions provider Ericom was founded by Murat Aydemir, Matthew Redpath, Shane O’Hearn and Tony Economos in 1993 with a mission to make the tech it supplied virtually invisible – focusing on simplicity and seamless integration for the people at the other end.

Growth

Servicing industry and government, the company has since expanded into cloud managed services and security.

Today, it offers telecommunications to industries as challenging as correctional facilities, where a balance needs to be struck between security and keeping incarcerated people in contact with their loved ones.

Despite being around for three decades, the commitment to a culture of continuous learning, and constant communication with customers, has led to significant growth for a mature business. In 2020-21 the company’s annual revenue was $34.5 million. In the most recent financial year, that was almost $20 million dollars higher – an incredible result of $53.4 million.

Where to next

Not resting on their laurels, the founders have one eye on the growth of the company’s IoT capabilities, location-based analysis and innovating technology in the healthcare sector. That includes enhancing its virtual healthcare offering, with a view to transforming the industry and improving lives.

It all starts with happy staff, with Ericom investing money to improve the wellbeing of its employees, making them more motivated to better serve its customer base.
