Power Play: There is no such thing as great power without great talent

It’s much easier to be powerful when you’ve got some decent-sized talent in your back pocket.

Power Players know that a lot of people love the idea of getting to the top but once they get there, they’re not quite sure what to do with it. This is where the talent kicks in.

Having some power doesn’t mean a great deal unless you know what to do with it. Staying powerful is a good deal easier when you have the talent to back it up and people start to see you as the real deal.

In fact, talent is like Moses parting the Red Sea: it speaks for itself and it is a critical ingredient for all genuine Power Players. It’s also easier to admire people of power if they demonstrate significant talent and have skills that you can admire.

Power and talent go hand in hand. Next time you see a Power Player, take a close look at their talent. I guarantee you it will be substantial.
