Power Players by nature are optimists. They don’t see a lot of value in living on the dark side. Optimism assumes a level of hope: a notion that things will turn out OK.
Practicing optimism can become a habit – a good one. If people around you feel hopeful and optimistic they will more likely hang in when others walk away.
It’s much harder to give up when you have imagined a happy ending. And daydreaming wonderful scenarios is a great skill in an increasingly negative world.
There is healthy momentum that comes with thinking good will happen. It can motivate and encourage when all signs are to the contrary. Practise optimism any chance you get.
Do what Power Players do: daydream happy endings in the midst of chaos and disaster. The alternative makes absolutely no sense – and brings zero comfort.
