This is one of my favourites because it speaks to that group dynamic of follow the leader.
There will always be one dummy who sets the course for a bunch of people and all of a sudden everybody has taken a stupid pill. It’s rare for someone to speak up and question the wisdom of the stupid behaviour and Power Players know how to avoid this.
Just because the group might contain one sharp mind, if the majority of that group contains people of questionable common sense, stupid things will happen. It’s easy for these types of encounters to veer off course and all of a sudden there’s a bunch of people making really stupid decisions.
Power Players always make sure there is a wise soul in the team. Somebody who is immune to the stupid bug and who can gently set the team straight. Learn from this and apply to your world. It will save you a lot of pain and heartache.
