Power Play: Never allow a person to tell you no

Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn’t have the power to say yes.

Eleanor Roosevelt said this and I love it. Power Players make it their business to find out very quickly (in any decision-making situation) who has the power to say yes.

They do this immediately and they make no apology for finding out where the power sits.

You will come across many people who like saying no because they like pretending they are more powerful than they are. Ignore these people and ignore their “no”.

If they don’t have the power to say yes, then there is no need to get upset when they say no.

This is an extremely important lesson to learn because it will stop you wasting time on people who are yanking your chain. If they can’t say yes, who cares if they say no.

Remember these words and they will save you a lot of heartache and a lot of wasted energy.
