This one isn’t about taking those marriage vows seriously (though I’m a fan). It’s about being true to the commitments you’ve made in business.
If you say you’re going to do it, then do it. No if ands or buts. Or don’t make the promise in the first place.
Power Players absolutely hate breaking promises. Even if it’s as small as picking up a coffee for a colleague on the way to the office or calling somebody back by the time they say they will.
Fidelity means being faithful to your word and most of us can count on one hand the people who live by this principle. No matter how big (or indeed small) the promise you make, have fidelity for that promise.
Be faithful in all the things you undertake and make fidelity a new-fashioned word. It even sounds like a good word. Power Players live by it every chance they get.
