Here are the 120 employers that received the gender equality approval stamp

One hundred and twenty Australian organisations have received an employer of choice stamp of approval from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) today.

That’s a record and according to WGEA, the large volume indicates that Australian employers are increasingly recognising the benefits of improving gender equality in workplaces.

WGEA said this year’s key trends among recipients include seeing flexible work entrenched across organisations, leadership programs, tailored parental leave programs and analysis of gender pay gaps.

Interestingly, it also cited a trend in seeing more employers aiming to support men’s caring responsibilities.

The 2018 list is wide ranging and includes professional services firms, large organisations including universities and banks, and organisations across male and female-dominated industries.

A voluntary process, the evolving criteria for the EOCGE citation covers leadership, targets for improved gender equality outcomes, learning and development, gender pay gap analysis, flexible working and family friendly policies, employee consultation, and preventing sex-based harassment and discrimination.
