There’s nothing more awkward than endless “you shouldn’t have”s in response to an act of unexpected generosity. Accept gifts graciously, and know there’s always plenty of ways to return the gesture.
If someone selflessly helps you out, a bouquet won’t break the bank but it shows them you appreciate what they’ve done.
If someone gives you a gift, send them a thank-you card a week later to let them know how much you’ve appreciated it.
Be creative and heartfelt in showing your gratitude. Gracious thanks are the best way to return a favour.
