Smart50 2017 winners to be revealed tonight

The winners of the 2017 Smart50 Awards will be revealed tonight at an awards ceremony in Melbourne.

This is the 11th year of the Smart50 Awards, which recognise Australia’s top 50 fastest growing SMEs. The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at the RMIT Media Portal, and will be supported by premium sponsor Mastercard, along with Austrade, Your Brand Unleashed, We Make Online Video and RMIT.  

This year’s 50 finalists will be ranked according to overall revenue growth over a three-year period. To be eligible for the Smart50 Awards, companies must have recorded revenue of more than $500,000, and achieved revenue growth, during the past three financial years.

This year’s winners will join an illustrious list of Smart50 alumni, which includes the likes of Atlassian, Pet Circle, Hunter Mason, Prospa, Vinomofo, Showpo, Adore Beauty, Just for Pets, Cohen Handler and Lux Group.

Awards will also be presented to the Top Franchise, Top Retailer, Top Exporter, Top Innovator, Community Hero and, in two new categories for 2017, the Top Marketer and Top Regional business. The Smart & Lasting hall of fame award will be presented to a finalist that has appeared on the Smart50 list for multiple, consecutive years.

The winners of the 2017 Smart50 Awards will be published on the SmartCompany website on Thursday night and included in the SmartCompany newsletter on Friday, October 20.
