Great story! I see why you would worry about your company becoming complacent. Complacency seems to be a very common trait among big IT companies. Size does not, however, equal complacency if you don’t let it.
A great book on how to transcend the success/failure cycle in companies is The Genesis Enterprise by Jim Tompkins. He goes in depth on how to have your business achieve peak-to-peak performance and the ongoing processes necessary to keep it going. A fascinating read.
