YouTube will begin to offer feature films from at least one leading Hollywood studio – perhaps even as early as next month, according to industry insiders.
CNET reports an executive saying “it’s going to happen. I would say you can expect to see it, if all goes well, sometime within the next 30 to 90 days.”
The talk is that Google ads will be placed in these feature length films – but apparently there is turmoil between deciding on an advertisement format with the studios.
“We are in negotiations with a variety of entertainment companies. Our goal is to offer maximum choice for our users, partners, and advertisers,” a company spokesperson told CNET.
