Up to 5000 people attended a Broadmeadows mosque this afternoon to farewell mobile phone entrepreneur John Ilhan, founder of Crazy John’s.
Mourners included many members of the Turkish community as well as National Australia Bank Australian chief executive Ahmed Fahour, former Test cricketer Shane Warne and his ex-wife Simone Callahan, and Nine Network personality and the president of AFL Collingwood club Eddie McGuire.
Ilhan died suddenly on Tuesday, suffering a heart attack while taking an early morning walk.
The funeral entourage proceeded to the Fawkner Cemetery, where Ilhan was to be buried.
