Nokia launches music service

Finnish-based handset company Nokia will provide its customers with the ability to download as much music as they want in return for an annual fee in a new service launched last week.

The new Come With Music program gives the company’s customers access to about two million songs from the Warner, Sony BMG, EMI and Universal labels.

But in a marked difference from similar subscription download services, music will still be accessible to users even after the subscription period expires.

The Come With Music program will be made available for six Nokia phone models, but the company will continue to release models designed for the program over the next year. The service is currently available in Singapore and Britain, with more countries to follow.
