Nokia unveils new smartphone models

One-time mobile phone leader Nokia has shown the market two new smartphone models running on Symbian software, despite announcing two months ago that it was shifting to Microsoft software.

While the new technology – with new icons, improved text input and faster internet browsing – is an improvement, one analyst told Reuters it was “too late to put Humpty Dumpty back together.”

Nokia saw its market share dive after the release of Apple’s iPhone a few years ago and has been further pressured by Android.

The new models will sell for €340 and €380 excluding subsidies and taxes.
