Internet service provider Primus will now offer unmetered downloads to its internet customers that own and operate TiVo set-top boxes.
Chief executive Ravi Bhatia says that the company will offer a movie download service along with other internet TV content as part of new packaged products.
“In the current environment … TiVo offers the opportunity for our customers to combine the best of TV and broadband, starting today,” Bhatia says.
The company has become the second in Australia to offer unmetered TiVo downloads after Internode, which now offers radio and gaming services to its customers.
Perth-based ISP iiNet is also expected to release some form of package later this year, and is also in talks with TiVo executives.
