Electronics manufacturer Samsung Mobile has launched a movie store in Germany and Britain that will sell 500 “blockbuster” movies to subscribers.
The service, which is designed for its smartphone customers, is powered by AceTrax and sells the latest Hollywood films as well as popular television titles.
The service is designed to launch along with its 2.8-inch touch screen Tocco smartphone.
“Additional devices will be compatible with the Samsung Movies store as they come to market in 2009,” the company says in a statement.
The group also says that it plans to extend the service to laptop and netbook computers, mp3 players and even Samsung televisions.
