The Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft says claims that it is monitoring the torrent activity of illegal downloaders are incorrect.
Stories on News.com.au and metro-newspaper MX suggested AFACT is tracking movies downloaded using torrent services.
An AFACT spokesperson said the story was incorrect and the organisation has no comment on current investigations.
AFACT is currently involved in a Federal Court action against internet service provider iiNet. AFACT has appealed last month’s judgement that iiNet was not responsible for the actions of its users.
