A number of US delegates have been holding talks with Russia and the United Nations in order to strengthen internet security, it has been reported.
The two countries are now holding talks in order to stop the number of attacks taking place on the internet, with the discussions sparked by a number of attacks on businesses, banks, government agencies and the military.
”Both sides are making positive noises,” James Lewis, a senior fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington told the Guardian. ”We’ve never seen that before.”
Lewis also said the talks have focused on managing cyber threats through economic and commercial means. However, many of the details of the talks have not been released.
