Western Australian exports increased 35% last year, according to an Australian Bureau of Statistics report.
Total exports grew from $83 billion in 2009/10 to $112 billion in 2010/11.
Iron ore exports increased more than 67% to $57 billion.
China was Western Australia’s biggest export recipient.
The mining industry is the cornerstone of WA’s economy, making up 28% of the state’s production.
West Australians’ earnings last year rose by $164 per week for men and $62 per week for women.
Western Australia’s healthcare and social assistance sector grew significantly, and employing 17,800 more people in 2010/11.
