The Australian sharemarket rose today despite negative leads overnight and in the region.
At 2pm, the ASX200 added 0.78% to 4312.1, while the broader All Ordinaries gained 0.74% to 4329.5.
The Australian dollar rose after positive jobs data for August, buying $US1.02205.
