Broadband provider iiNet has confirmed last week’s rumours of it having laid off several employees.
Rumours suggested 100 layoffs but the company has not revealed the actual number.
The employees fired were both from iiNet and its subsidiary Westnet from head office areas.
Despite the layoffs, the company released a statement in early June saying it expected revenue to exceed $415 million dollars for the financial year just gone, up by $15 million from February’s revenue forecast.
