When people switch from a PC laptop to a MacBook, they’re often confused when they try to use the touch pad in the same way. The Mac’s TrackPad is quite different, with useful functions that new users might not know about.
For instance, you can swipe four fingers upwards on the TrackPad to hide the open windows and reveal the desktop.
When the opposite manoeuvre is used, the windows reappear. This is a great way to find icons on the desktop easily and quickly.
If you use four fingers to swipe left or right, the application switcher appears, and a two-finger sideways swipe will scroll options across the screen.
If you hold down the control key and use a two-finger swipe, you can highlight and magnify parts of the screen.
