It won’t surprise you to learn that the Taskmaster only dines at Australia’s finest restaurants. Crisp tablecloths, polished silverware, snooty waiters – that’s the life for me.
But there is a little trick I have learned from these establishments that I want to share with you – I call it, the bill sweetener.
No doubt you’ve seen it. You’ve just paid for a delightful meal with some overpriced wines, the waiter brings you your credit card receipt and there is a delightful little chocolate on the tray. You know you shouldn’t eat it, but you just can’t help yourself. You walk out the door with a smile on your dial.
So how could this trick work in your business?
If you are on online retailer, a cheap little gift or a handwritten thank you note with the delivery is a great idea.
If you are service-based business, a voucher or small credit to encourage the next purchase works well.
If you physical retailer, the voucher can work well, or a small add on (such as bookmark if you sell books).
The key is finding something that makes you stick in your customers’ minds.
Get it done – today!
