When you are putting in long hours to get your business off the ground, it can be tempting to forgo exercise or even sleep and do a bit more work. But it’s a temptation that should be resisted.
Think of it as a pure business risk. Becoming rundown or ill is never good, but when you are running a business it quickly comes counterproductive. You may require time off work, your productivity will fall and the standard of your work will slip.
If you start to feel yourself become overly tired, set time aside to relax and catch up on sleep. Make sure you exercise regularly, and eat well to ensure your energy levels say high. If you do fall ill, seek medical treatment as quickly as possible and get better.
Starting a business requires energy, and only a healthy entrepreneur can really tackle the challenge.
