The Australian Communications and Media Authority has denied that it had anything to do with raids targeted at whisteblower’s haven Wikileaks.org.
German police yesterday raided the house of Theodor Reppe, sponsor of the Wikileaks.org domain, which hosted the leaking of a list of sites claiming to be the ACMA blacklist.
Wikileaks has claimed the raid was over a “censorship list” published online, but an ACMA spokesperson has claimed that the raids were “not as a result of a referral from ACMA”.
A list of sites alleged to be part of the ACMA blacklist was leaked on Wikileaks.org last week, but a new list was leaked this week that Communications Minister Stephen Conroy says is more accurate.
