IT engineers in Germany will be taught proper social skills alongside technical training in a new course offered at Potsdam University.
The new degree will teach students how to get along in regular social situations in order to have a better social life. “We want to prepare our students with the social skills needed to succeed both in their private life and their work life,” a spokesman for Potsdam University told itnews.com.au.
Modules included in the course include impressing people at parties, sending flirtatious text messages and learning to cope with rejection. Students will also be taught body language, stress management and presentation training.
And the course has proved to be popular, with over 440 initial enrolments.
