Henry and Sandra Gosling, a couple in their late 60s, are behind CO YO – Australasia’s original Coconut Milk Yoghurt and Ice Cream Alternatives company. CO YO products are free of dairy, gluten, soy and preservatives, with no added sugar; making them perfect for people with dietary and digestive challenges.
Social media has played an integral role in growing CO YO from a small startup business on the Sunshine Coast into a global brand. Instagram in particular has proven to be a favourite – it’s allowed our consumers to spread the word for us and has helped capture the attention of international investors keen to produce and/or distribute CO YO in their own markets.
Our @coyo_is_coconuts account has amassed close to 20,000 followers, with many sharing their CO YO moments and recipes online. The ability to use hashtags such as #dairyfree, #glutenfree, #vegan or #cleaneating also helps us to connect with a targeted audience.
