BlackBerry has announced it is releasing its BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) mobile device platform (MDM) and has also shown off a white version of its forthcoming Passport phablet.
Until now, businesses have had to host BES from their own servers, without the option of a cloud-hosted alternative.
In its official statement, BlackBerry says the release of BES Hosted will mean third-party cloud hosting providers will be available to offer cloud-based BES services.
North American cloud hosting providers ISEC7 and Exchange My Mail are the first two companies offering the service.
In a separate blog post, the smartphone maker announced it is going to offer its forthcoming Passport device in white as well as black, after photos leaked onto BlackBerry fansite CrackBerry.
The new device is set to be wider than a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet and include a square shaped screen and a keyboard. It is one of three devices the company is releasing this year.
