No one likes to feel that terrible sense of overwhelming desperation. Yet sometimes it’s exactly the primer you need to get you to a place of genius.

There is a way that desperation can motivate that is rarely matched by anything else. The feeling of failure and of abject terror (if channeled correctly!) can take you to an entirely new place of success.

The trick that Power Players have on this one is that they don’t shut down when the panic sets in. They embrace that feeling of desperation and let it waft over them like a good perfume. They use it as a form of inspiration.

If you allow yourself to give into it, there is something funny in feeling out of control. Outside of a terminal illness or impending death, everything else is imminently fixable. Power Players find their perspective and they dig in. You can, too.
