The most common way to give up power is thinking you don’t have any.
Every single one of us has power in some way and in some part of our life.
The trick to power is knowing that you have it. Power Players never forget they always have power, no matter what the situation.
Even if a situation presents itself as one where it appears they have zero power, they still have the power to reject the premise of the situation or to walk away from it.
Free will is power. Rejecting someone’s assessment of a situation is power. Taking the high road is power. Laughing when you should cry is power. Being kind when cruelty feels better is power.
Remember what every Power Player already knows: the most common way to give up power is thinking you don’t have any.
Every single one of us is imbued with an internal well of power. Know it, hold on to it and don’t disrespect it.
It makes all the difference when you think you’ve got absolutely none.
