Bravery isn’t defined by being fearless. It’s defined by being terrified but diving in anyway.
Power Players know that it’s the fear that makes it worthwhile. Because if you’re afraid and you do it, it means you really know it’s the right thing to do.
Jumping into the fear and forging ahead means that the outcome is potentially so good (and so right) that you need to see it through. The ending is worth the terror and doubt.
This type of bravery is usually in short supply and Power Players try to exercise it any chance they get. Most of us loathe that feeling of terror and we do everything we can to avoid it.
Power Players loathe that feeling too but they know that the great decisions and good moves only come after they’ve pushed through the fear to dive into whatever situation faces them.
When you’re most terrified, dive in. When you come out of the other side of it, you’ll like what you see.
