No ifs, ands or buts: if you hate it, don’t do it.
Power Players find a way to stop doing the stuff they hate. And here’s why: if you do stuff you hate, there’s less time to do the stuff you love. Added to that is the mental energy it takes to get through the stuff you hate. It cripples you emotionally and intellectually.
I don’t care for this talk of ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’. It’s just dumb to keep doing the stuff you hate because you somehow think it will toughen you up or be a ‘learning experience’. That’s hooey.
But here’s the secret that Power Players know and most of us don’t: Power Players are very good at working out what the hate doing and why.
A lot of us don’t do this. We avoid the truth, or worse, bury it for fear of what we will find. Quit the stuff you hate.
