The definition of true power is how you treat someone who does you absolutely no good.
I love this definition because it’s wrapped up in kindness and decency.
Real Power Players have power because people look up to them. And how can you not look up to someone who treats you incredibly well without expecting anything in return?
When this happens people not only start to idolise you; they will go out of their way to help you. Or to put it another way, they will throw themselves into fire for you. True power means getting others to volunteer themselves into service without having to say very much at all.
The only manipulation Power Players perpetrate is kindness. And that kindness is returned tenfold. True Power is never having to lift a finger at all. And genuine Power Players know how to do this beautifully.
