It was a quiet day on the Australian sharemarket today, as Sydney, Adelaide and Perth took the day off, and investors held out for tomorrow’s interest rate decision.
At 2.10pm, the ASX200 slipped 0.04% to 4385.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index gave up 0.05% to 4404.1.
The Australian dollar weakened today, buying $US1.03395.
